Lazer Tech Limited was originally established in 1990, because of a need to have a trained specialist team, dedicated and experienced in the repair and refurbishment of high voltage transformers.

An opportunity was perceived by the directors of Lazer Tech to develop a company with the initial objective of tendering for the maintenance and repair of transformers.

In March 2005 the company was sold. The new directors of Lazer Tech 2005 (Peter Rhodes, Managing Director and Peter Booth, Contracts Manager) both have solid track records in the electricity industry both locally and internationally with a combined total of over 70 years experience.

Lazer Tech 2005 is made up of five areas of expertise:

• Major Transformer refurbishment, Electrical manufacturing and testing
• Technician services
• Switchgear installation / refurbishment and testing
• Generation services, including maintenance, and construction
• Mechanical workshop services.
  

Lazer Tech 2005 aims to ensure any staff vacancies are filled by suitably qualified and experienced people. Seventy percent of Lazer Tech 2005 staff were previously employed in the electrical industry and have the required training plus years of experience relative to the operation and maintenance of high voltage equipment.

Lazer Tech 2005 has an excellent safety record and is well known for supporting community initiatives.

The company is certified to ISO 9001 standard.
