The staff of Lazer Tech were trained in the repair of transformers by Mr Graeme Fincher during a continuous six month 'on the job' transformer repair. It was the first 220KV, OLTC, interconnecting transformer repair and 60MVA to 80MVA upgrade completed at Benmore. This involved extensive internal diagnostic training, analysing faults and repairing defects, training on the dryout procedure, and testing of the repaired transformer to the international Power Transformer Standard IEC76. Staff
have a sound base of transformer knowledge and experience, further extended as other units have been repaired.

Since this initial training, knowledge has been shared with new staff members in support of other in-house training initiatives, to consolidate the company's skills and knowledge base.

Staff knowledge, experience and flexibility ensure Lazer Tech 2005 ability to offer an effective and cost effective service anywhere in New Zealand and international.
